What is Ramadhan?

Ramadhan is nothing a month of Islamic Calendar. Ramadhan Significance is purely Spiritual and in this month of Ramadhan, the Holy Quran has the honour to Muhammed(PBUH), the first revelation of Quran was sent on the day of Laylat Al-Qadar, Which is one night of the five odd nights of the last ten days of the Ramadhan. It is the days Muslims thanks to Allah by Fasting the whole month of Ramadhan. People used to practice during Ramadhan is fasting from Dawn to Sunset.

Ramadhan is the month of devotion and worship towards Allah. Its Significance is purely spiritual and people used to do charity. It is the purpose to clean the soul, getting closer to Allah. The fasting includes withholding from Food, Drinking, Bad Languages, Sexual Intercourse and Bad Behaviour. In addition to that, every Muslim used to recite complete Holy Quran.

After the completion of Ramadhan, the first day of Shawal is celebrated as the Eid Ul Fitr.

How is Eid UL Fitr Celebrated in India?

In India Eid ul Celebrated as: After the successful completion of Fasting which the month of Ramadhan Eid ul Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawal. Every Muslim perform Ghusul by taking shower on the day of Eid. And then get something to eat, on the day of Eid ul Fitr Muslims are not allowed to fast. Chanting the Takbir on the way to Eidgah(a place where Eid ul Fitr prayer is perform).

Eid ul Adha is another Islamic festival to honour the willingness of Ibrahim(AS) to follow Allah’s command to sacrifice his son and Allah’s mercy on us all. As the son of Ibrahim(AS), Ismail(AS) was replaced with sheep. And it is the time when we celebrate Allah’s mercy.

Eid ul Adha is celebrated in the month of Dhul Hijah the last month of Islamic Calendar, Eid ul Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah.

How Is Eid Ul Adha Celebrated In India?

In India, Eid ul Adha is also the know as Bakra Eid. You may think why Bakra Eid? Because the sacrifice of Sheep(Bakra) is done so this Eid is called as Bakra Eid. In India, Eid ul Adha is the celebration is done with joyous and in the remember of Ibrahim(As) and Ismail(As).

Eid ul Adha is celebrated after the successful completion of Haj, this is usually done on the 10th day of Islamic calendar of Dhul Hijjah. In some places, the people celebration start with the Eid prayer in eidgah. As the people march towards they used to chant loud while going to eidgah by saying this words.

After the prayer, the sacrifice of sheep or cow is done. Every household can afford the sacrifice of the four-legged animals. After the sacrifice of the animal the meat is divided into three part, first is for family, the second part is for the relatives and neighbourhood, and the third part is for poor. Then people used to visit their relatives and wishes them on Eid.

What Is Eid Mubarak?

Eid Mubarak is nothing but is a traditional greeting which is said on the Eid ul Fitr & Eid ul Adha. Eid means “Celebration” and Mubarak means “blessed“. People In South Aisa countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh used to wish by saying Eid Mubarak on Eid ul Fitr which is after the month of Ramadhan, and on Eid ul Adha which is celebrated after the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah.
